About the Author

Joe Cheslock is a life-long resident of Northeast Ohio, born in Akron, growing up in Cleveland and Bedford, now residing in Cuyahoga Falls. In 1966, he began a 41-year career in Information Technology beginning in Beachwood and ending in retirement with FedEx Services in Akron. He completed a degree in Business Management in 1984 at The University of Akron.

Immediately upon retiring, Joe began taking classes in poetry writing at the University of Akron, Wayne College, in Orrville, in 2008. He has had work published in a variety of small journals in several states, including small collections with fellow students at Wayne College, where he also received top prizes for his poetry. Joe is the author of "14 Lines," a collection of sonnets published in 2014, and “if you follow a crooked river, poems of Cleveland and other sacred places," in 2016. He will continue writing poetry and hopes to break into short story writing in future publications.

Joe is a voracious reader, especially mystery/thriller novels, loves to travel, watch Cleveland sports teams, go for fitness walks, and play golf, He and his wife, Lynn, are the parents of three, and grandparents of five.
